At present, there are dozens of kinds of rubber and elastomers used in the production of hoses. The commonly used ones are: natural rubber, styrene butadiene rubber, epdm, NBR, hydrogenated NBR, neoprene, chlorosulfonated polyethylene, chlorinated polyethylene and fluorinated rubber.
Other thermoplastic elastomers, such as ethylene-acrylic elastomers and polyacrylic elastomers, have also been used.
This indicates a significant increase in the variety of hoses produced and a greater choice of reinforcing materials for hoses.
The grade of fiber and steel wire can basically meet the demand of hose production.
In the production of low-pressure hose for air and water transport, rayon and polyester fiber are still used as reinforcing materials, while in the production of high-pressure hydraulic hose, steel wire is still used as reinforcing materials. The steel wire selected varies from 0.20mm to 0.80mm in diameter depending on the pressure and size of the hydraulic hose produced.
In the production of large diameter hose also choose steel cord and flat steel wire as reinforcing material, with high strength, compactness and fatigue resistance.
At present from the hoses industry, the molding process used and foreign, is also hard core method, soft core method and no core method three, with soft core method and no core method of production hose more.
From the point of view of vulcanization technology, the vast majority of the nylon wrapped cloth is still used for steam vulcanization.
