Four steps to choose a food grade hose
With the gradual improvement of rubber technology, the types of rubber hoses are also increasing. But until now, we still often classify hoses by pressure. While the hoses are high pressure hose and low pressure hose. What are the differences between them? Here I take a nitrile rubber hose as the example.
First, the classification standard of high pressure hose and low pressure hose
If the max pressure is not higher than 1.6MPa, it belongs to low pressure hose. While if it exceeds 10MPa but does not exceed 100MPa, it belongs to the high pressure tube. The one between 1.6Mpa and 10Mpa is a medium pressure hose. And if the max working pressure exceeds 100MPa, it is an ultra high pressure resistant hose.
Distinguish based on usage
Take the use of nitrile rubber pipe in automobile as an example. The boring pressures that high pressure nitrile hose and low pressure hose can withstand are different. Thus they are for different use. Therefore, low pressure hose is mainly for oil suction ports and belong to the input end. While the high pressure flexible hose is used at the oil delivery end. There the pressure is high to quickly output fuel to the equipment and ensure the good operation of the machinery.
From a technical point of view
The production process of high pressure pipe is more complex than that of low pressure hoses. Low pressure hose only needs to clamp wires or add cloth on the skeleton layer. But these measures are not enough for high pressure tube. It is necessary to add some materials, such as canvas, polyester thread, steel wire, etc., to the high pressure pipe.
