Natural rubber comes from rubber tree, which is plant in over 40 countries. However, the 9 main production countries are in Asia, such as Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia. The amount of the 9 biggest production is 90% of the total in the world.
Natural rubber is an important strategic material. Shanghai Futures Exchange listed natural rubber futures in 1993. On Aug.12th, 2019 Shanghai International Energy Exchange listed a new future – No.20 rubber. Then what’s the differences between them?
Material
The natural rubber is fresh latex and the content of impurity is very low. But the No.20 rubber mainly absorbs smoked rubber sheet as the raw material. Because of the different raw material, the difference between them is mainly in the pretreatment.
Application
The latex is is mainly for light color rubber products like rubber hose. But the No.20 rubber is mainly for tire.
