Differences Between PVC Steel Wire Hose And PU Steel Wire Hose

Actually some users can’t recognize white or transparent hose like PVC hose, PU hose, silicone hose and even highly transparent Teflon hose, because they look like the same. Steel wire hose can be divided into two series, steel wire spiral hose and steel wire braid hose. Braid hose is more suitable for high pressure requirement applications while spiral hose is suitable for ventilation and dust suction. What’s the different between PVC steel wire hose and PU steel wire hose?

Structure

We can see from the name that PVC steel wire hose is made from PVC while PU steel wire hose is made from PU. Structures are similar that both has a inner tube, a cover and steel wire reinforcement. The difference is that the steel wire of PU hose is copper coated with an anti-static copper wire inside. The temperature scope is from -20℃ to 70℃ for PVC hose while it’s -40℃- 90℃ for PU hose.

Characteristic

PVC hose is transparent and nontoxic with a small bending radius. It has certain acid, alkali and pressure resistance.

Besides the characteristics that PVC hose has, PU hose has excellent corrosion, positive and negative pressure resistance. It remains prototype in vacuum and flexible in extreme low temperature. Long lifespan is also an important advantage.

PVC steel wire hose is suitable for even all industries like agriculture, engineering, industry, food process to transfer water, oil, powder and other materials.
