How often should you replace a garden hose

The lifespan of a garden hose is different. It is depend on the material, frequency of use and work factors such as exposure to sunlight and extreme temp. However, as a general rule, garden hose can serve for 3 to 5 years. While that means you should change a new one every 3 or 5 years.

Here are some signs that it may be the time to replace your garden hose

The hose is crack or split

If your garden hose exposure to sunlight or extreme high temp weather, it may crack. Besides, after long time wear or tear will also cause it crack or split.

The hose is kink or tangle

This can make it difficult to use and may indicate that the hose has become worn out and less flexible.

The hose leaks or has reduced water pressure

This may because of the damage to the hose. Such as punctures or cracks, or by a buildup of mineral deposits inside the hose.

The hose is discolored or has a foul odor
