When choosing rubber hoses in the brewing industry, you need to consider the following factors:
Temperature range
Select the right hose material according to the wine delivery temp. In general, if the temp of the wine pipeline is higher than 60℃, you’d better use rubber hose.
Wine properties
Different types of hoses have different tolerances to different wine liquids, and materials should be selected according to the properties of the wine liquid. For example, hoses used to transport sugar-alcohol alcohol should be made of polyethylene.
Pressure endurance
The pressure-bearing capacity of the hose is related to the number of layers. For alcoholic drinks with greater pressure, it is better to choose a hose with more layers.
Envirnmental factor
Consider the environment in which the hose is used, and choose the food hoses with additional functions such as anti-corrosion, anti-aging, and anti-UV.
In addition, pay attention to the following points:
Material
You can choose silicone or PTFE tubes. The rubber tubes used in the brewing industry should generally be medical grade silicone tubes. The transparent ones with steel wires in the middle are better. You can also choose 304 or 316 stainless steel corrugated pipes. But please note that they must be food-grade stainless steel corrugated pipes.
Connector
It is best to ask the manufacturer to fasten the connector directly for you, otherwise it will be difficult to connect it yourself.
Safety
When using rubber hoses, you need to pay attention to safety. For example, use food-grade rubber tubes and avoid using rubber tubes from unknown sources to prevent them from containing harmful substances such as plasticizers.
Maintenance and cleaning
During use, the rubber tube needs to be cleaned and disinfected regularly to avoid bacterial growth. At the same time, attention should also be paid to maintaining and replacing rubber tubes to ensure their normal use and safety.
