The main component of PVC reinforced pipe is actually PVC. But in addition, many other ingredients are added to increase its characteristics. There’s even a coat added on top of it and a back-coat adhesive underneath. In winter, the temperature in various places gradually drops. Especially if you are in the northern region, the temperature will reach below 0 degrees. However, when the temperature of PVC reinforced pipe is relatively low, its brittleness will increase significantly and it will be very easy to break.
So how can we use PVC reinforced pipes correctly in winter?
During transportation, management must be carried out in a standardized manner, and violence must not occur. For example, drop it directly to the ground. Even put it on the ground and scroll and drag it. This will cause certain damage to the appearance of the PVC reinforced hose. Therefore, be sure to handle it with care during installation and uninstallation. It is even more important to keep it properly after arriving at the construction site. Avoid direct contact with sharp objects. It is important that construction personnel cannot step directly on the surface of the PVC reinforced pipe. Otherwise, some cracks will occur on the inner wall of the pipe. There were even pipe bursts.
During the construction process, the depth of frozen soil in northern areas must be taken into consideration when digging pipe trenches. Because the PVC fibre hose must be buried deep into the soil layer, this depth is generally 1.2-1.5 meters. Generally speaking, the width should exceed its outer diameter by about 300 mm.
At the same time, the stones and bricks inside must be taken out during the excavation process. If there are hard objects, be sure to add some softer sand. During the installation process, it cannot be bent forcefully. Otherwise it will be damaged. Be sure to carry out strict inspection before putting down the pipe to avoid damage. If damaged, replace it promptly. It is even more forbidden to throw it into the ditch at will and start construction again.
If you want to use glue to connect the pipes together, first wipe the insertion parts of the inner wall and outer wall of the port clean with a dry cloth. Apply an appropriate amount of glue to the two ends and allow them to evaporate, then firmly join them together.
