In the last piece we learned the classification of composite hose. Today let me introduce you the special marine heavy duty composite hose.
What is marine composite hose
As the name shows, marine composite hose is mainly used in marine to deliver oil. Besides, it can also serve as the oil charge hose at dock.
Structure
Inner tube: quality nitril compound
Reinforcement: layers of yarn and 2 layers of steel wire
Cover: abrasion resistant nitril compound
Features
Light in weight and flexible
Marine composite hose absorbs new material. Thus it’s 30% lighter than metal hose and 40% than rubber hose. Therefore, it greatly reduce the labour intensity. Besides, it makes the work more easy, then improve the efficiency.
Great bending property
The min bending radius of marine composite hose is just 1/3 of metal hose. What’s more, the hose remains circle when bending. Besides, there will never be be fold, block and crack on the hose.
Positive and negative pressure resistant
Because of the steel wire reinforce, it can work at 5Mpa. While the negative pressure could be 0.1Mpa. Moreover, when the pressure suddenly beyond the max. Instead, there will only be a peristalsis.
Temperature resistant
At normal condition, marine composite hose can work at-40℃-260℃. Besides, it will not harden or soften with the temperature change.
Corrosion resistant
Composite hose has great resistance to chemicals, acid and alkali. Thus it’s widely used to transfer fuel, petroleum and solvent.
Static conductive
When transfer flammable substances, there will be static by pressure, flow and wear. You have to conduct it on time. Otherwise it will cause serious problem. The double layers of steel wire provide it great conductivity. You just need a wire ground, then the static disappears.
