Hydraulic hose is an important part in hydraulic systems on car, excavator, road roller and many other vehicles. It’s widely used in oil exploitation, construction, transportation, marine, metallurgy, mining equipment, machines and automatic hydraulic systems to transfer oil-base fluids (hydraulic oil, fuel, lubricant) and water-base fluids (water, emulsion).

The problems in the external tube
1. Cracking on the surface
In cold weather, the cracking will cause the hose bend. If you find cracking on the surface, check if there was the inner cracking, and change the hose if there is. So don’t move or bend the hose in cold weather and operate in the room if necessary. If have to work in the cold weather for long term, you should change a cold resistant hose.
2. Bulge on the surface
The bulge is usually because of the bad hose quality or incorrect operation. If the bulge appears in the center, that’s mostly because of the production quality, and you have to change a new hose. If the bulge appears in the connectors, that’s may because of the incorrect installation.
3. There is leakage but the hose not burst
This occasion is generally caused by the abrasion and corrosion of hydraulic fluids to the inner tube. Normally such problem appears in the bend position. Change a new hose and make sure the bending radius in use meet the technical requirement.
4. The hose is metamorphic seriously
This is caused by the natural aging of hydraulic hose after a long time usage. The surface becomes more brittle. There will be cracking if bend the hose lightly. When the hose is aging, you should change a new one immediately.
