PVC hose has experienced the introduction period and high-speed development period, after 2003, PVC hose industry has entered a transformation period. Many new investors do not start from product innovation and technological innovation, but simply imitate, even cut corners, fake and shoddy. The industry market competition is in an unhealthy state. Since the early 1980s, the state has vigorously promoted the application of UPVC hose and formulated a series of policies, systems and standards, and accumulated a lot of experience. Up to now, it has already had the perfect product standard, the test method standard and the test means, the construction engineering technical specification and so on. Thus unified the product specification size and the quality index, realized the product interchangeability. This shows that the development of PVC hose has entered the mature stage, product quality and construction quality have been guaranteed, thus ensuring the use effect of PVC hose.
The international standard for PE hoses for water supply was not officially issued until 1996. China prepared the national standard GB/T13663 in 1999 with reference to ISO4427, and issued and implemented in 2000, but the PE hoses fitting standard, engineering technical specification and so on are still being improved. This shows that domestic PE hoses quality has not been stable, pipe fittings are not perfect, so it is impossible to ensure the quality in production and construction.
The rapid development of PVC hoses comes from many factors. According to the tenth Five-year Plan for the Development of chemical building materials, by 2005, PVC hoses will be used in 70 percent of building drainage pipes, 50 percent of building rainwater drainage pipes, 20 percent of urban drainage pipes, and 60 percent of building water supply, hot water supply and heating pipes. Plastic hoses are used in 50% of urban water supply pipelines (below DN400). Meanwhile, investment in major projects will vigorously promote the demand for PVC pipes. Such as the South-north Water Diversion project.
However, at present, the processing capacity distribution of PVC hose is structurally unreasonable. The processing capacity of small and medium-sized enterprises mainly focuses on PVC drainage pipes, while a large number of non-standard pipes still flood the market, leading to disorderly and chaotic market competition.
