Traditionally, fire hoses are dedicated water supply equipment. However, at some special fire-fighting rescue sites, creatively expanding the actual application method of water hoses, and using water hoses to solve difficult problems in battles, this kind of ultra-conventional practice often receives unexpected and more effective results. As a professional layflat fire hose manufacturer, I will introduce the ingenious applications of fire hose.
One: Use fire hoses to protect dangerous chemicals tank trucks during lifting
Overturning accidents of dangerous chemicals tank trucks, lifting the accident vehicles during the on-site disposal is an important link. Whether the accident vehicle is in the state of loading dangerous chemicals or the state of empty vehicles after the dangerous chemicals have been transferred to the transfer tank, there is a safety risk in the lifting process. In particular, the steel wire rope on the crane is in contact with the tank of the hazardous chemicals tanker, and friction will generate sparks when lifting. In order to avoid sparks, we usually take measures to find some clothing, cotton wool, wooden blocks, straw curtains, etc. on the wall of the tank near the site to do some precautions. The disadvantage is that these items cannot be carried with the fire truck, and it is not easy to collect and deploy at the scene of the accident. If you use fire hoses, you can skillfully solve this problem! Put the fire hose on the outside of the wire rope. In this way, there is a hose braid and a hose rubber lining between the rope and the tank, which can effectively avoid sparks and the lifting protection effect will be very good.
Second: transfer the leakage point of hazardous chemicals. Taking the hazardous chemicals tanker truck as an example, if the liquid tank or gas phase interface of the tanker truck is damaged and leaked, and the plugging cannot be implemented in a short time, we can urgently perform lifting, dismantling, and rescue operations on the site. Try to transfer the leak point of the accident tanker to reduce the safety risk of field operations. This problem is also solved by using water straps. After removing one end of the water hose, it is bundled on the liquid phase or gas phase interface pipeline, and the other end of the multi-disc water hose is transferred to 40 meters, 60 meters, or more. Where the operating conditions are better, a water gun position will be set up at the new “leak point” for monitoring.
Three: The air supply line in the anoxic space. For shaft or tunnel rescue, it is critical to supply air to such a small space lacking oxygen. The use of fire hoses can also solve this technical problem. The hoses do not leak water or leak air. You can connect one end of the hose to the blower and put the other end into a shaft or tunnel. As long as the 220V power supply on the rescue vehicle Provided to the blower, fresh air can be continuously delivered to the area where the trapped person is located.
Four: Floor escape self-help assistance. The operation procedure of self-rescue by using the water band is as follows: a water band is vertically laid down in the third layer window, and the lower end is connected to the ground water separator. The combatant tied the end of the hose to a building component or a solid facility indoors, then untied the seat belt, tied the hose in the seat belt, placed it on his chest, sat on the windowsill facing outward, and held the hose with both hands. Clamp the hose back and forth with your feet and slide slowly to the ground. Firefighters can use this method as an auxiliary means for self-rescue on the floor at the fire rescue site.
The fire hose can not only convey water for fire extinguishing, but also has many wonderful functions. I hope everyone can make good use of the fire hose to play a greater role in protecting everyone’s life and property.
