Layflat hose is a common material in factory and our daily life. For example, we use it to transfer water in agriculture and other applications. Besides, it’s a good material for fire fighting. TPU layflat hose is more light in weight
The lining is just 0.3mm, which is just 1/3 of rubber one. Besides, the density of TUP is smaller than rubber. Thus the total weight can reduce 1/3. Then helps reduce the load strength.
TUP layflat hose can bear higher pressure
Rubber layflat hose can’t entirely eliminate the small leak point, even after 2 vulcanizes. Thus the burst pressure is just 3.9Mpa. However, TUP has a higher burst pressure which can reach 5.7Mpa.
TUP layflat hose has great weather resistance
TUP can constantly work at 90℃ without any distortion. Besides, it will not embrittle in low temp. Moreover, it has excellent oil resistance. The affinity is very small with non-mineral oil and even not be corroded in fuel oil. Therefore, it has already become the mainstream fire hose in EU and US. Even some people use it as garden hose.
Excellent wear resistance
TUP has much better abrasion resistance than other plastic materials. You can drag it on the ground at your will. While you don’t have to worry about the abrasion at all. Because of such ability, it also suitable to deliver fertilizer from far distance.
