The most common problem with plastic hoses is that they fade after a period of use. So how can a good hose ensure that it does not fade?
Aging test
Aging test is a process of simulating the aging of products by various factors during use. This experiment is mainly for plastic materials. Common aging mainly includes light aging, damp heat aging, and hot air aging. Products are used outdoors for a long time under sunlight. If you want to know the life of the product outdoors, you must conduct a UV aging test. Of course, the intensity of the experiment is much greater than the actual outdoor light intensity, thereby shortening the test time. You can understand the changes in the product’s use time through a short test.
PVC plastic hoses must use a UV accelerated aging test machine for up to 8 cycles. One cycle every 12 hours, including 8 hours of ultraviolet irradiation and 4 hours of water spray test. After 144 hours of testing, the product cannot be cracked and must be within the color value of level 4. This is considered to be qualified for the UV test. Products that have not undergone strict anti-UV treatment fade severely. They will break after a period of use, and there will be oil on the surface, and the service life is not long.
