Steel wire hoses are widely used in our life. It can transport various liquids, gases, and food and medicine. It is mainly divided into PVC and PU hoses, but there are many differences between the two. Today I mainly introduce to you the PU hose.
Let’s introduce its purpose and use occasions, common specifications as well as its source and different names.
The main difference between PU steel wire hose and PVC steel wire hose:
1. The temperature resistance is different. The max temperature of PVC pipe is 65°C, and the max of PU hose is 90°C.
2. The wear resistance is different. PU pipes are more wear-resistant. And PVC has a shorter lifespan if they transport large particles.
3. The softness is different. When the thickness and steel wire spacing are the same, PU will be softer, and PVC will be relatively harder. Unless the plasticizer in PVC is added a lot. But food standards have strict requirements on the content of plasticizers. Therefore, the plasticizer of soft PVC is far from meeting the requirements of environmental protection.
The use of PU hose
In terms of bearing pressure, it can be used as steel wire reinforced high-pressure hose and fiber reinforced high-pressure hose. And in terms of medium, it can be used as air pipes, hydraulic oil pipes, gasoline pipes, cleaning pipes, etc. In terms of applicable industries, it can be used for various auto, motorcycles, engineering machinery, ships, machine tools, etc.
Classification of PU hose
PU hose is the preferred pneumatic hose in the pneumatic industry. PU tube is divided into polyester PU tube and polyether PU tube according to the material. According to the use requirements and names, it can be divided into PU air pressure hose, PU industrial hose, etc.
