Appearance inspection
Surface smoothness
Check if the surface of the hose is smooth, without obvious scratches, bubbles, bumps or depressions. Because these defects may affect the performance and service life of the suction hose.
Color uniformity
The color of the PVC suction hose should be uniform. Because uneven color may indicate problems in the production process. For example, uneven mixing of raw materials.
Marking
Ensure that the hose is clearly marked with relevant information. Such as name or logo, product model, specs, working pressure and production date.
Size inspection
Inner diameter and outer diameter
Use a caliper or other tools to measure the inner and outer diameter of the hose at multiple points. This ensures that they meet the design specifications. Deviations in size may affect the flow rate of the medium and the connection with other components.
Wall thickness
Measure the wall thickness of the hose to check for uniformity. Inconsistent wall thickness can lead to uneven stress distribution during use, reducing the strength and service life.
Length
Check whether the length of the hose meets the customer’s requirements. Use a measuring tape or other length – measuring devices to measure the hose accurately.
Physical property inspection
Tensile strength
Conduct a tensile test on the hose to ensure that it has sufficient tensile strength. This can prevent the hose from being pulled apart or damaged during use, especially when the hose is under tension or when it is dragged.
