Rupture
Cause
The hydraulic hose has been subjected to excessive pressure for a long time, exceeding its rated working pressure. It may be caused by unreasonable system pressure setting, safety valve failure, etc. In addition, the hose may be subjected to external mechanical wear, scratches, extrusion, etc. For example, friction with other parts, scratches by sharp objects, or extrusion by heavy objects. The hose ages and its performance deteriorates, and it may also rupture under normal working pressure.
Consequences
Hydraulic hose rupture will cause a large amount of hydraulic oil to leak, the system pressure will drop rapidly, and the equipment will stop working immediately. It may also cause damage to the surrounding personnel and equipment, and there are certain safety hazards.
Hose aging
Cause
Working in a high temperature environment for a long time will accelerate the aging of the rubber hose. The chemicals in the hydraulic oil will corrode the inner wall of the hose, affecting the performance and life of the hose. The dynamic stress of the hose, such as frequent bending, stretching, and vibration, will also gradually damage its internal structure, leading to aging.
Consequences
The strength of the aging hose is reduced, and it is prone to leakage, rupture and other faults. Its flexibility will also deteriorate, affecting the normal operation of the hydraulic system. Thus you have to replace a new one.
