Rubber is a most common material in our daily life. It’s widely used in every industries such as mine and vehicle. You may heard general rubber and special rubber on TV or news. But what is general rubber and special rubber? You may confused. Then let’s talk about it.
What is general rubber?
General rubber has excellent integrated property. While it’s suitable for various usages. The types are as follow.
Natural Rubber
Natural rubber comes from the rubber tree latex. It has good elasticity, strong strength and excellent integrated property.
Isoprene Rubber
It’s an synthetic rubber with the similar structure and property with natural rubber, so it’s also called synthetic natural rubber.
SBR
Shortened as SBR, it’s the compound of butadiene and styrene. Because of different produce methods, there are Emulsion SBR and liquor SBR. It has excellent integrate property and chemical stability.
Butadiene Rubber
BR comes from butadiene. Compared with others, BR has much more better cold, abrasion, aging resistance as well as elasticity. Besides, there will be less heat in the dynamic load.
What is special rubber?
Special rubber means the rubber with special property.
CR
CR resists oil, oxidant, fire and ozone. But it is easy to crystallize and harden. Thus it’s hard to restore. Besides, it has bad cold resistance.
NBR
NBR has excellent oil and aging resistance. It can work at 120℃ air for long term. Besides, it has good water resistance.
Silicone Rubber
Silicone rubber resists low and high temp as well as ozone. In another hand, it’s electrical insulating. The working temp could reach 260℃.
Fluoro Rubber
Fluoro rubber performs well in high temp. Besides, it’s oil and corrosion resistant.
Polysulfide rubber
It has good oil and solvent resistance. But has bad performance in aging. Besides, it has terrible smell.
